It has been quite some time since my last Tech Tuesday post, back when I was still only on Blogger. If I'm being honest, I really missed these posts; it must be the engineer in me that loves to explore the new and beautiful in design to find truly innovative products. Be on the lookout for more of these posts from now on!
Now To the important stuff, a new photography tool that isn't new at all. Impossible Projects, a company that was started in reaction to the end instant film production by Polaroid, has developed the I-1 Instant Camera with the goal of bringing analog photos into the digital realm. The I-1 is a true nostalgia trip, using original format film for the first time since the company started, but has been thrust into the future with the integration of a ring flash as well as an connected iPhone app that provides a variety of editing tools. Jumping back to the manual functionality, this is the only instant camera available that lets you control the shutter speed and aperture for the best quality photos.
The I-1 just released today sporting a $300 price point, and with that level of innovation, it is quite a steal at that price. Be sure to check out the Impossible Projects page to read all about their truly amazing story and try getting your hands on a truly innovative piece of photography!
