Loafer's are always an easy option as the the snow begins to thaw, with just enough heft to take on a bit of chill and the airiness to take you all the way through Summer. Whether its a swanky pair of black-and-white spectator penny's or a suave set of navy tassel loafers, there aren't very many wrong choices in the field. Recently, however, there has been one genre that has pushed the others aside to burst into the spotlight. Thanks go to Alessandro Michele, the King of Menswear at the moment, for reimagining the perennial motif of the horsebit loafer. Just as easily worn with your favorite pair of distressed jeans as they are with your boardroom power suit.
For me, I decided to pair a classy brown and aged gold hardware set with a spring favorite, nautical blues. Pairing a sharp double-breasted blazer together with a relaxed striped t-shirt and beachy blue jeans provides the perfect preppy look that just fits so well as you welcome the warmth back into your daily routine. And the fantastic footwear that I'm donning are part of Sebago's Heritage Collection, rooted in workmanship and quality, every detail is handcrafted to provide style thats built to last. My favorite part about these loafers are the rubber inserts on the outsole that give you grip in any condition as well as the padded insole that makes them feel broken-in straight out of the box; and at only $130, they're a hard deal to pass up. Big thanks go out to Sebago for partnering with me and helping me to live my best life.
